This introductory course outlines the importance of perceptual motor skills as prerequisite in development of higher order skills. Through this course, participants will learn what is neuromotor immaturity(NMI), how we can assess it, identifying the signs of NMI, and the interventions we can do at school level.

Dr. Kamia Narang

Dr. Kamia Narang (Gold Medalist) is a passionate Pediatric Occupational Therapist and a Remedial Educator with over 13+ years of experience in the field. She started her career at LNJP Hospital, Delhi, and was part of the multidisciplinary team at the Child Development Clinic. She is certified in Sensory Integration Therapy from the University of Southern California, USA. She is the founder and head of First Steps Pediatric Therapy Clinic, Delhi. Over the last decade, she has built a team of therapists, special educators, and speech therapists and provide best-in-class services. Currently, she is successfully leading therapists all over India as a part of a global research project, with the aim of normative data collection for a new SI tool 'Evaluation in Ayres Sensory Integration'.
